Bio
Hello my name is Benjamin. I am a recovering dual diagnosis alcoholic. I, at one time, had 5 years sober, relapsed and now have 3 years. I also am diagnosed with a generalized anxiety disorder, clinical depression and social phobia. For which I take medication as well as utilizing and continue to develop coping skills. Those who helped me asked for nothing in return. They asked only that I help others find an answer and peace. Not only other alcoholics and sufferers of anxiety or depression but anyone asking for help. I see listening as an extention of that commitment. Listening is extremely important to me because sharing has helped me overcome many obstacles in my life that seemed insumountable. I have come to know that, for me, sharing and listening are both beneficial to me. Not only when I am feeling low but also when things are good. Feeling I am bothering someone, that my concerns are trivial, or that sharing is unnecessary in good times have been barriers to my communication and growth. So if you decide to have a chat with me, and you have these types of thoughts know that you are of supreme benefit to me and that I benefit from the chat as well. Some things I enjoy are bass fishing, billiards, fires, and family. I am a kind, compassionate, and helpful person. As well as a great listener. I will do whatever I can to help.
