...See more Hello Community, 7Cups is a community where you can find everyone advocating for self-care. Last week, we discussed the power of self-care in the Positivity Corner group chat and all participants shared their insights, encouragement, and support to promote the practice of self-care. It is a significant aspect of overall well-being. Many think and there is a misconception that it is about selfishness or indulgence. But, that is untrue. It is more about recognizing the importance of taking care of oneself to lead a more fulfilling and balanced life.  We live in times that often emphasize productivity, goals, and success. But, we also need to understand that taking care of ourselves and each other is the way to live a well-lived life. So as you start your day to begin your journey of productivity and meeting goals, and other needs, do take a moment to do two steps of reflection and ask yourself a question: “What can I do to take care of myself today?” Once you answered the first question, the second question to reflect on, “What can you do to take care of others around you?”  Responding to these questions can help you unlock the awareness of yourself and how self-care is beneficial for you.   So, what does self-care mean to you? ...See more Hello everyone, hope you are enjoying your weekend. 💞 I have a little something for you to reflect on and I would love to hear your answers, if you want to share with me! How do you pour love in your own cup each day? What self-loving daily or weekly habits do you have?  Even if you don't have something, maybe there is a habit or routine you would like to begin?  I find that little things go a long way and when building new routines you often notice a shift or a change. It might change your perspective, mindset, your confidence or self-esteem.  Mine is: Taking a walk each day, to get daylight and fresh air (especially important in the winter) and to connect with myself. It's grounding and refreshing and I find that it boosts my mood. It is also a good time to practice mindfulness.  Something I would like to begin: Journaling every day. Meditating (something I have told myself I want to do for a long time).

...See more A lot of things have been happening in my life and I got some pretty good advice on here to just take a step back and to be grateful for what I have and to try to notice more things in my environment or drive to school/work. I kid you not I saw more things than what I normally would on my day to day drive. I noticed more things than I felt like my narrow vision from my daily cycle couldn't see. I would suggest that more people try the same. It helped a bit with my burnout and helped me see what I was missing. I will be doing the same thing tomorrow. :)

...See more hey everyone, i'm creating this space for myself to come to every day, hopefully, and share my good moments. ✨ when i say 'good moment', it doesn't mean i have to feel happy or anything. it could be anything that made me feel a tiny bit better or something that made me feel good for a little bit. it could even be something that happened that's supposed to be good, even if it didn't change how i feel. or if i'm having a particularly bad day, a good moment could be a moment when i just didn't feel that horrific. and of course, it could be a moment when i just somehow magically feel fine for a bit, with no apparent cause. magic, lol. 🪄 i've recently realised that thinking of good moments makes every day feel a tiny bit different, instead of every day feeling the same and having that school, homework, exam, eat, sleep, repeat cycle going on. when i'm depressed and have been for months on end, it's really easy to just see that and forget the good that does occasionally come. perhaps after a while of posting on this thread, i might even be able to go back and read previous good moments when i'm feeling awful. i know that every time i try to feel better and actually get to feeling better, it eventually comes crashing down soon and i feel bad again. but i guess i'll try to feel better anyway by focusing on the good moments. and when i do get to feeling better, i want to make the best of it and use it to get work done, so that the times when it gets bad again don't affect my schoolwork too much.  i will really try to come here every day and post something, even if it's very small and seems insignificant, even if i feel like i didn't have anything good happen that day. and if i ever have a miracle day when i have a lot of good moments, i'll try my best to list them all out for me to read on the awful days that follow (somehow my really good days are always followed by some really bad ones, and it sucks). if i ever miss a day of posting, i will try to post that day's good moments the next day. i know that sometimes i will need to mention the bad stuff too here, to be able to explain why something was a good moment, but in general, i will try my best to avoid talking too much about the bad on this thread. thank you, @bestVase7265, for encouraging me to write down my good moments. this idea of yours has been of a lot of help to me. i hope it works well with this thread for posting good moments. feel free to follow along and read whatever good i find every day, and share yours too (only if you'd like to, of course. you can always just stick to our space if you wish). 🤍🤍 anyone else reading this is welcome to share their good moments as well, i'd love to hear them. wishing you all the best. 💙

...See more ------------------------- Hello everyone, I was just scrolling through some posts in this positivity and gratitude community. I was inspired by the many posts various people have been posting like the reminders, positive life lessons, quotes etc. I felt like I belong here. 7 Cups is in fact a very uplifting community to be at. I am grateful for being part of this community. I am grateful for what I am doing for this community i.e spreading the message of positivity. Having a positive mindset has changed my perspective of the world, myself and others. It has helped me build self confidence. Acceptance of self, gratitude etc. It is a cognitive triad. What we think is what we do and how we feel. Avoidance is a very harmful coping strategy. When we think negatively such as I am not good enough, I am not a good friend, I can't do this etc, we tend to find ourselves in this negative cycle where we experience stress, anxiety, depression and the many other mental health concerns and issues. ------------------------- Some of the quotes that have touched my heart are as follows: We are often stuck in this loop of thinking negatively about ourselves, the world, other people, and the future. Examples: I am not good enough.(Self) No one likes me. (People) I can't do this. What if I fail or do a mistake.(Future) Why don't we stop this cycle and instead say: I am enough. It's not like nobody likes me. There will be somebody who can support me during this time. ------- I am going to make friends. I can do it.  It's okay to make mistakes. I am human. Mistakes help me grow and teach me important lessons. My aim is to help you become aware of your thoughts, feelings and actions. ------------------------- Waiting for something to happen is a wrong step to take. Planning what to do and then taking the time to do it is the right way of doing something. Telling yourself that there is no time for journaling, physical activity, and other things that you find important is like one trying to avoid something. Time is in your hands. So take this as an opportunity to grow. ------------------------- Reflection questions: What is one thing you are avoiding that you wanted to do? How are you going to achieve your goal? What are some negative beliefs you have ? Frame these negative beliefs into more positive ones.  -------------------------
