About
Hello, My name is Tanika Johnson, and I have been practicing education and counseling for over ten years. I am a Licensed Professional Counselor-Mental Health Service Provider, National Certified Counselor, and Mental Health and Wellness Provider. In my practice, I facilitate individual, group, couples, and family therapy. I am a firm believer of the prevention and treatment of psychosocial impairments and disabilities. Additionally, I specialize in alcohol and substance abuse and chemical dependency, addictions, trauma, sexual assault and human trafficking, domestic violence, crisis and behavioral health interventions, anxiety, mood disorders, anger and impulse control, and self-management coaching. I have a wealth of experience serving the special education community and the exceptional needs of children, adolescents, and adults with disabilities. My counseling style encompasses cognitive behavioral therapy, reality theory and choice therapy, and existentialism. Feelings of dissatisfaction and inadequacy can be combated with the right supports.
