About
With over 25 years of licensed professional experience, I understand the variety and depth, as well as the challenges, of problems we encounter in living our lives. And, I know -- not just believe-- that therapy works.
From both my practice and my life I know that we can learn new ways to handle the difficult events and situations that life hands us — depression, anxiety, life transitions, relationship concerns, loss and grief, questions of identity, body image, trauma concerns and others. My clients' emotional concerns range from supportive to more serious. These issues are probably similar to yours but I also know that everyone’s issues are their own and I respect and value your life experiences.
My approach is collaborative. We work together to develop the best plans and solutions for your concerns. I will listen to you and support you but together we will actively work on ways that your experience of living can be better. We consider both socio-cultural and psychological perspectives. Gender, race/ethnicity, class, sexuality and other factors are integrated into our work together and are valued.
As a therapist I work from an integration of relational, cognitive-behavioral, and feminist therapy. For me, feminist therapy is the simple perspective that culture and gender (whatever your gender may be) interact with emotional health and quality of living. I have written about and presented on this type of therapy and I know that is helpful for all people.
Be assured that I will listen closely to you and will value and respect who you are, where you come from, what your concerns are and what your goals are. Together we will see ways to improve your resiliance and satisfaction with life.

I feel so much better after just a few days of talking to her!!!!
So far I am very satisfied with the insight that Dr Kincade has given me on my life. I really needed someone from outside who could give me a fresh perspective into things.
I just started therapy, but she seems very kind and thorough, and she really wants to help you get better.
Great! Really helped!
great chat, kind and caring psychologist
