I have a sense that if i wake up and feel unmotivated and sad about my job the real issue maybe that I am sad for myself living my life engaged in a job that is not meaningful for my life and purpose in this life. Looking carefully at my life goals and finding a new job that is in line with my life goals, a job that would make me smile when i think of it will make me wake up happy and looking forward with excitement for the next day on the job.

Maybe you are not doing what you want to do in life, instead you can continue doing the same job & look for a job which suits you & then switch, unless you dont love your job also youself of doing it, you wont be motivated

Because your current job is not your passion, as steve jobs said, "follow your heart till you find your passion, dont settle". so if your job is your passion you will be working more in a very motivated manner.

I find that you have to do your best and the best you know how to do, though you may not be told you are doing a good job, if you know you did, then be motivated that you got up, you got dressed, got to work and did it!!!

You wake up unmotivated and sad because it isn't something you enjoy. Find something you enjoy more and that might improve upon how you feel. Otherwise, if that isn't what it is, then you might be going through something devastating, or some kind of problem is standing in your way.

Perhaps this is not the job for you. You're unhappy with how things are. Some people get bored of their jobs or end up disliking it. To keep yourself engaged, have a fresh start. Either improve your current environment (buy new office equipment or find new organisational methods) or change it completely (invest in a new job)

If you don't like your job look for something else that you like to do. Loving your job gets you to places, disliking it does not.
