Why can't I satisfy my boss?

This is a "luck of the draw" situation. Sometimes we end up working for people who either: -are miserable, and negative -don't know what they're doing -are underqualified, know it, and take out their frustrations on their employees -people who clash with our personalities I have been in plenty of situations such as these. My boss right now, a doctor, is insatiable. I have worked for people who disciplined me for things that never even happened, or something I didn't do. In those situations specifically, it's important as an employee to know your rights, document everything, and pick your battles. Only fight back when you know you can win and back yourself up. In terms of insatiable bosses, since I'm in this situation currently, I go into the situation more worried about if the work I'm doing is good enough for me, and for the clients. We can't please everybody, but if you're giving your best, and putting in every effort to better yourself, learn from and improve on your weaknesses, setting personal goals, and increasing departmental efficiency, you'll end up okay. If you're in an entry level situation, know that it's just a stepping stone. Always see it as a temporary situation. You won't be there forever, and neither will your boss.

a boss often isn't going to be satisfied, no matter what you do. The important thing is to make sure you are satisfied with your work, and your level of input. You can't please others all the time, make sure you please yourself with your work first.

mhmm, Human wants are unsatisfiable. Thou some people are just like that, you can only try your best.

Perhaps it's a problem on your boss' side. Some people just can't be satisfied - don't let it bring you down.

Because He/She don't want to get satisfied. Some bossed actually satisfies but shows that they are not.... they think if they show you that you satisfied them, then you wont improve anymore.

Many people are hard to please or just simply are not happy with anything. The best you can do in that situation is do your best work, as long as it is good enough for you!

some people just can't be satisfied or happy. I recall a statistic that bosses fall into the dark triad. (Google it) Just as long as they can't fire you, its not that bad.

You can'r control whether or not you satisfy anyone in your life, The only person's satisfaction that you can control is your own!

Its a occupational habit for a boss to never be satisfied with their workers. This is so that their workers will work harder and always think that they need to achieve something.

Supervisors/bosses by their very job and position try to get the most out of their employees to the benefit of the organization. Many supervisors can appear, or be, demanding. In their search for excellence/results they will push their subordinates. There are myths I have heard in the workplace, including, "If I just get this one big project success, my career will be made." It is part of a supervisors job to ask what have you done for the organization today?
