I had more interviews for jobs I didn't get. I feel so crummy. What do I do now?

First of all, understand that this is very normal. Nearly everyone gets rejected for 99% of the jobs they apply for. Rejection is difficult, but try to liken this "rejection" to getting struck by lightning-- it's very rare. If you're sad that lightning didn't strike this time around, keep going out into that open field and hanging out by the lightning tower. The odds will be low each time, but eventually you'll get struck. (You know. In a good way.)
Meanwhile, get a friend to go over your resume and cover letters-- make it an activity!

Don't give up, keep trying its not always easy to land a job in your first set of interviews. You cannot give in at this point, sometimes we give up just when we are about to break through.

Well first don't give up! There are various reasons why we may not get a job. If you feel it's a skill or communication related concern then seek out a job training coach or possible see if education upgrading is an option. Last but not least, network network network! Sometimes it more who you know and not what you know that gets you the job!

Trust and believe that if you didn't get the job, that there is something greater out there for you. It is not a reflection of your abilities. I have had this happen to me plenty of times. I'm sure that your gifts will make room for you.

Rejection. It sucks, it's hard, and it can get you feeling really down. But it's important to remember; everyone gets rejected a dozen times in life and it sucks for everyone. But that's not to say that everyone deals with rejection the same. Some people deal with it smoothly, picking themselves up and dusting themselves off then continuing on their way, but others opt to bash themselves up over it. If you're one of the latter people, don't bash yourself up! I know it's cheesy and you're probably sick of hearing it, but there's a storm before every rainbow. Think of J.K. Rowling, for instance. You know her, I'm sure. Award winning author of one of the most famous book series in the world. Do you know how many times she got rejected by publishers before one of them realised how awesome and top notch her stuff was? 12 times. That's quite a few, considering how epic Harry Potter is. So before you get disheartened, tell yourself not to quit. Summon your patronus and send your discouraging dementors away (sorry to all those who haven't read Harry Potter, you're missing out on these sick references). You might get rejected 12 times. You might get rejected 50 times. You might get rejected 100 times before you land that dream job. But hey, if you give up now then you'll never know.

What can you do? You keep trying. If you continue to get shot down then take some time to look at your resume. A lot of people miss just how important a resume is to finding an ideal job.

Sometimes people go through rough patches like this, but think of it as experience that you get with each interview and when that right one comes along you'll be ready

Dealing with rejection in a job search can be difficult, especially when it has ocurred several times now. The first thing is to not take it personal. Not getting a job is not a measure of your worth. In this difficult time, try and stay positive, focus on your key areas of strength. Remember to ask for feedback, receiving constructive feedback can help you succeed in future interviews.
