Women are subject to a constant imposition of a certain aesthetic model that pushes them to keep working on their body to the point of exhaustion: weight, body hair, makeup... Men have to deal with an "imposed" aesthetic model to, but to a different extent. It's socially acceptable for them to be more "natural". Also, women constantly face the sexualization of their body, harassment and other experiences that make them hyper aware of their body and in constant need of "surveiling" it. The best way we can deal with this is to challenge and question the imposed aesthetic models and support each other as we try to express ourselves more freely.
