Find out the requirements for the specific school such as GPA requirements and SAT/ACT score requirements. Also, find the averages of the current or incoming freshman class and aim higher than the averages AND the requirements and apply early. If you have to write an application essay have a teacher edit it for you to make sure you're presenting yourself well to the school of your choice. Keep in mind that for most Universities it is easier to get in as a transfer your sophomore year or beyond so if you don't get in your freshman year, you can always try again! Don't give up!
