I absolutely know how this feels, I was agoraphobic and anxious to the point where I couldn't go outside or in a store without having a panic attack. You're probably avoiding a trigger that you run into often in stores whether it be a person, an object, or even a smell that reminds you of a trauma. You're freezing up because your brain is telling your body that you're experiencing a threat and to stop you from becoming hurt or upset it's keeping you from going to the store. The best way to help this is with a professional therapist.
