Exercise actually improves focus and attentiveness-- not exactly what you're trying to go for when you want to go to bed. Instead, you can try some alternatives, such as ensuring that you're sleeping environment is a dark and quiet one, and making sure that your bed is the place for sleep, not homework, check-balancing, etc.

Absolutely! In fact, excercise is a beneficial aspect for your health as long as it's done wisely and in moderation, just like everything else. However, doing it within a few hours of bed time is a bad idea since it might keep you up longer in that case.

Exercise releases endorphins which provide a level of happiness and comfort. If you have trouble with falling asleep because of over-thinking then exercise will definitely help reduce this. Exercise will also ware you out so that you are much more tired and be able to fall asleep at night easier, and sleep the whole night through without restlessness.

It might! There's a huge release of endorphins and it can use up a lot of your energy. Try exercising to help you sleep for a week, and then determine whether or not it's working.

Yes, being active throughout the day will probably get rid of any extra energy you may still have in your system and it is also good for your health. Just do it one to two hours before going to bed rather than sleeping right after exercising.

Depends on what it is. I find if I burn myself out it will help me sleep. Yoga does as well. However, lighter cardio tends to keep me up.

Exercise definitely helps me sleep better at night. When I exercise, not only do I feel more physically tired and ready to sleep after using my energy to work out, my muscles really depend on the rest to rebuild after being used during my exercise.

If you have trouble sleeping, chances are you don't exercise. Or you don't exercise enough or exercise properly.
Exercise is one of the most important things you can do to overcome or lessen insomnia. It can help you to fall asleep easier and faster and sleep more restfully and deeper when you do. For some people, exercise by itself is enough to overcome their insomnia.

It depends on the type of person you are, for me it does. However, for my older sister it does not. To me it helps because I use a lot of energy which then results me in being tired. The thing is, when I work out I do heavy cardio so that I am completely drained. For some people if you just do light things, your adrenaline could be boosting up and you might end up having too much energy you didn't use. I think that it is best you try and see what helps you, just experiment!
