If you're like me, its because you work a physical job and haven't stretched properly! Joking aside, it could be because you're not sleeping on the right mattress/pillow, you could be mentally stressed which can lead to muscle tension around your neck and shoulders, or a pet/person is kicking you in your sleep...

it could be over sleeping. or not enough sleep. but it could also be staying still during sleep. or it could be moving too much from bad dreams. It is hard to put this one in just one group it depends on the person.

There could be any number of reasons you wake up feeling sore and achy. Diet, sleep habits/hygiene, some sort of un-diagnosed medical disorder. Try making subtle changes and seeing how it affects you. Monitor the amount of calories you intake as well as what constitutes those calories. Vitamins, minerals etc.

This could be many reasons. First the most obvious answer would be your bed. If a bed is too soft or too hard for certain people it will cause body sores. You may be dehydrated. Lack of fluids in the system tend to lead to feeling bad physically. If you're using drugs, prescription or otherwise, soreness when you wake up is associated with withdrawal symptoms of certain drugs. A hot shower will give temporary relief from the soreness til you can figure out what the exact cause is and remedy the situation completely.

This is because you enter a deep state of rest and this is usually when all your muscles and stuff rebuild which make you feel sore.
