Maybe because your pulse rate is increased and blood tends to pump faster so it's not easy to sleep at that point in time

It could be a number of reasons, but often times a hard workout will trigger the body to produce endorphins. An endorphin is a chemical compounds that ups your mood and is considered a stimulant. If you do a hard workout before bed, you may be producing endorphins that disrupt your ability to sleep.

Exercise can affect you physiologically and get your body wired up so it can often be difficult to wind down and sleep soon after. The gets used to working hard, pumping more blood, and increases in heart rate so often exercising in the morning or after work can get you feeling energetic enough to deal with the demands of the day!

There is good causes for it: endorfine and adrenaline. Once you exercise , your body produces them both and you will be awake and actually feeling very well !! So, if you exercise ( and that is good!!)avoid doing so at night, if possible.

maybe because you're out of breath, and exhausted because of the sweat. Take a cold bath and relax yourself before sleeping.

This is called post-workout insomnia. You might be reacting to the increased adrenaline in your body. My best advice is to avoid intensely working out less than 3 hours before when you plan to go to sleep. Hope this helps x

Because by doing exercise, you get your adrenaline going and wake everything up! However exercise can actually help you sleep if you do it earlier on, before you are going to sleep

Exercise can work as a stimulant in the body, raising heart rate, breath rate, and other measures generally associated with being alert and active. This cause sleep to be more difficult.

If it's right after, your endorphins and energy is still running high. Your blood is pumping from the exercise, you feel energized and ready to go. Exercise makes you awake, even if your body feels physically tired. My suggestion is to work out at least an hour but ideally two before the time you need to go to bed.
