Lack of sleep is one of the most common causes, as well as lack of motivation. Going to sleep at an good hour allows you to wake up earlier and easier. Having a reason to get out of bed helps also. Set up a date with a friend or say to yourself "I am going to [Whatever you want to do]".

Some mornings may be worse than others. You may wake up and feel that immediate push of anxiety and depression. Before I get up, if this happens, I inhale through my mouth and exhale slowly, my focus is completely on my breathing. Continue until the feeling is gone

A lot of factors can be considered as to why can't I get up in the morning. It may be weather that makes me feel like going back to sleep again or feeling lazy that I don't want to do anything because I feel so directionless. But one big culprit for this is sleep deprivation because late bedtime causes difficulty waking up at an appropriate hour.

Mornings are generally very difficult for most people. Sometimes not having a set plan or immediate reward for getting up could be the problem. Sometimes it's a result of a bad night's sleep.

Sometimes medication that has drowsiness as a side effect can make it harder to wake up in the mornings. Also if a person has insomnia and doesn't get into the REM cycle of sleep it is hard to feel rested therefore making it harder to wake up in the morning. If you are having difficulties, it is always best to check with a physician for any underlying medical conditions.

Problems with sleep/ feeling refreshed in the morning come from a combination of body, emotional, and environment problems.
Your body has needs for sleep, food, clothes/ shelter, community, intimacy (sex, friendship), and acceptance (love). If one of those needs is not getting met, your body and mind will act out.
For example, when I am feeling depressed, I normally have problems waking up. In my case, and in yours, it's important to ask yourself, "why is this happening?". (What is your reason for sleeping in? Depression, anxiety, feeling sad, not being excited for the day, horny, hungry, bad sleep, feeling lazy, etc.?)
When you run through these ideas, and one of them hits home, think about that for a bit, and ask yourself, what is going on with that? what caused that? Do that same thing over and over, until you can't go any further. This will give you some insight on which body, emotion, or environment needs aren't getting met.
The next step is the difficult part- what are you going to do about it? To fix the problem, you have to find healthy ways to meet the needs that aren't getting met.

Because you went to bed so late the night before. Jk. Maybe you feel down. Even without realizing that you feel that way it still catches you and lowers your energy.
