What is the best way to stop flashbacks from effecting me when I'm sleeping ?

I've had this problem for a while and I've learned sometimes they just don't stop. What you need to do is control them and the only way that works (for me) is praying. It calms my mind and I end up sleeping peacefully. :)

Do good things, which make you happy in anyways before going to sleep. Just remember that mind also needs rest , for that we need to stop thinking just after lying on bed.

Perhaps the easiest way is to make use of non-habit forming sleep aids. Many sleep aids, like ZzzQuil, will put you to sleep, but will not engage sleep that incorporates vivid dreaming. Sometimes the best thing to do is to just get your body used to sleeping without dreaming (or rather, without recalling or re-enacting dreams), and your brain will soon follow suit on its own
