Medical professionals suggest getting an average of 8 hours of sleep per night. This may fluctuate depending on where you are in your life, i.e college students typically undergo less hours of sleep with elderly taking more, 8 hours is a good way point. If you are feeling concerned about the amount of sleep you are getting consider talking to people close to you, or reaching out to a medical professional .

A healthy amount of sleep for a teen is about nine hours or more, but too much sleep can leave you restless the nest night and not enough sleep will leave you tired the next day.

Although it varies by age, it's probably safe to aim for at least 8 hours of sleep each night (and it doesn't hurt to get a little more!). Different people have different needs for sleep; some can function on just 5 hrs, whereas others need a solid 10 hrs to avoid coming to work like a member of the living dead. Listen to your body. (:

It is recommended 8-10 hours a night, but of course your schedule will vary depending on the day. For the most part, just try to get in sync and stay consistent. Start getting in-tune with your body's sleep schedule. Example: If you feel tired after 8 hours, try 9 hours. If you feel refreshed after 9 hours of sleep, it may just be right for you. :)

Well I would suggest getting 8 hours sleep at a minimum but it would be very good to get more hours.

I believe that peoples sleep cycle changes and is unique to each person. Although when it becomes non resting or none retorative then this may be a time to discuss with your counsellor or GP

This is a very difficult question. As a student at a very difficult school, with internships on the weekends, I find that I get 6-4 hours of sleep a night. This is not good for me, personally. I know some people who thrive on it, but i occasionally have to take a day and sleep as long as I can, otherwise I start to crash and burn. I think that if I got 8-9 hours of sleep a night, I would feel a lot better. I think 6-8 is a much more reasonable goal, and definitely one I am currently working towards. You need to find what works for you! I suggest getting at least 7 hours of sleep a night. This does vary with age, though, so if you're younger or older you mighr want to adjust that number. But I would advocate doing it like me -- see what makes you feel awake in the morning and stick with that.

It is recommended that most healthy adults get between 7 to 9 hours of sleep. Some people can get away with less and still feel perfectly rested. Another key is to go to bed and get up and approximately the same time. The big question is, do you feel like you are getting enough sleep? This is something many people need to work on as a form of self care.

Between 7 and 8 hours is considered normal, per night. If you know you have difficulty sleeping then try and go to bed earlier and do not use technology a couple of hours prior.
