Needing a sleeping aid in order to help with jetlag and issues such as these can be seen as normal, but needing one for longer than a week is cause for trouble; seek a professional and obtain a professional's opinion!

Everyone is different when it comes to medication both prescription and over the counter. Some people need a sleeping aid every night and others may just need one for a few days to reset their sleep rhythm.

I feel like it is normal. I personally will try to exhaust every possible thing to try and sleep and use sleeping aids as a last case scenario! It can be unbelievably frustrating to feel unrested. There is nothing wrong at all with using sleeping aids if you feel as if it will help you get rest. Your body needs to rest. Of course you will begin to turn towards using sleeping aids if you feel as if you have not got any sleep at all. I would seek some advice from a trained professional though to chat through all the potential options for you.
