I think for adults, it depends on age. But for me it's not about the hours of sleep you get, but the quality of sleep. I find myself feeling afresh and relaxed when i had a good sleep and that's when i do not worry so much about the day before and i can only just get about 5-6 hours of sleep. Thus, sleep with a peace of mind and i think that's good enough. :)

It depends, really. Anywhere from 8 to 10 hours should be fine, though it really depends! You can sleep more or sleep less depending on your needs, gender, and age, as well as other factors.

Everyone is different. The average person should get around 8 hours of sleep. Teens need more. Roughly around 10. If you are looking for more specifics about REM, deep sleep, etc., you should only be awake around 5% of the time, 25% REM, 35% deep, and 35% light sleep.

Everyone's body is different, but on average teens should get between 8 to 10 hours per day, adults should get 6 to 8 hours per day. If these numbers cannot be obtained in single periods, they can be supplemented with naps, but strive to get the minimum number of hours in one "session".
Hope this helps :)

Each person is a little different and requires slightly different things to be the best them they can be. The most important thing about our sleep is that it has a discernable and consistent pattern. The recommended amount of sleep is typically 8 hours, but it's okay if you're not a typical person. Try to remember the last time you woke up really rested, and think about how long you slept that night. Try to sleep for 8 hours a night for a week. If you are not able to sleep that long, try 7 hours for a week. If you are feeling fatigued when you wake up, try 9 hours for a week. Remember to go to bed at the same time every night. Trial and error!
