As a teenager you should at least get 8 hours of sleep. As an adult 7 - 8 hours are necessary. But sometimes the quality of your sleep is way more important than the quantity!

It depends on your age, but 8+ hours sleep is the suggested minimum for an adult, the younger a person is, the more sleep they should be getting, this should all be in one block, and not broken up into little naps, there is a cycle the brain has to go through to get the proper benefits from sleep, if the sleep is disturbed, this can't happen and this is when sleep deprivation sets in.If you are struggling to get the right amount of sleep I suggest seeing a doctor. :D
