How can I stop having nightmares or how can I have a deeper sleep?

To stop having nightmares, I did three things: 1) I eat very minimally at night because indigestion gives me nightmares; 2) I do something fun and social in the evening to help me relax and go to bed with thoughts of positive experiences; and 3) I think about what I want to dream About just before I fall asleep… And often I will have a dream related to what my intention was. To have a deeper sleep, I will do all the things just listed for preventing nightmares as well as going for a walk after dinner, not drinking any fluid after dinner, and doing some stretches on my bed. It’s not a guarantee but it definitely helps for me. Having a peaceful mind and reminding myself of the good things I did todayAlso promotes good dreams and good sleep… As opposed to going to bed with my mistakes and my criticisms.
