YES, warm milk can help you get to sleep. it may just be that the routine of drinking a glass of warm milk is like an old teddy bear that reminds you of home when your mom tucked you into bed at night. The psychological association with milk is stronger than what the milk’s content actually does (or doesn’t do!)

Yeah, warm milk is a helpful source for a good night sleep, it might change from person to person based on many other factors too, however it is helpful to many people in maintaining good sleep throughout the night. In fact, many experiments have been conducted on the same and in many a cases, milk has helped in a good sleep. Milk helps in the increased production of melatonin, which is a main hormone that plays a role in the sleep cycle of people. Milk is a rich source of calcium, which helps the brain in production of melatonin.

Honestly it helps me. It all depends on yourself. It is calming to me and it helps me relax. Kind of like how a baby drinks warm milk. You can try it to see if it helps!

I think that this depends on the person themselves. Warm milk is very helpful to many people, but a cup of tea might help as well. I think you should try it out sometimes to see if warm milk helps you to fall asleep. It might be worth the try. (:

Biologically warm milk is meant to help you call asleep this is because milk contains tryptophan, which is an amino acid which helps induce sleep. Many people also find the ritual of drinking a warm glass of milk a calming ritual that helps them relax to sleep. Personally for me though, I can't stand the taste of warm milk so I never drank it to find out for sure.

Though it's a popular method for some people to help them fall asleep, it's not for everyone. Some would rather drink decaffeinated tea, read before bedtime, or listen to music. It really depends on the individual, so if you're trying to find what works for you, try a lot of methods and see which ones you find the best results from.

For some, it does. It can be really calming, but others may prefer herbal tea, or reading, or writing in a journal. Anything that can wire you down and let your body know it's time to sleep.

Very interesting question , as milk contain calcium there have been studies that have said that it can promote the production of the sleep regulating hormone (Melatonin), so it can help a person in fall asleep. I have also heard about chamomile tea and rubbing Lavender oil can help too :-)
