Actually, self harm do not make you feel better. It's a really temporary thing, you feel like you forget everything that is wrong in your life and it makes you feel good for a while but then your problems came back and it seems even worse. There are plenty of better ways to feel better instead of self harming even if you don't believe in it now.

Self harm gives you a release from what your feeling or from things going on in life. Its a coping method that you have learnt helps even if its an unhealthy one.

Because it helps releasing the pain that I'm going through and then I feel better after doing it and stop feeling depressed until the next time I feel depressed and do it again it only helps me feel better for a few hours.
