So this can be perfectly normal, if its the whole wound, and is generally caused by the tissue in your body form reforming (scarring). If however its only around the edge of a wound this can be a sign of infection in the wound. That's the bruising - if you get hit hard, the skin will turn purple - don't worry about it, it'll go down in a bit. You can always take some paracetamol to help the pain, and if it swells up lots, you can see a doctor!
