It could be bruising coming out it could also be where you cut and the blood vessels directly above the cut have broken down and caused this purple mark. Just keep a close eye on it and see if it gets worse its not infection by the sounds of it but just watch it.

Wounds can change a couple of different colors. This can possibly be caused by bruised skin. The color should go away in a few weeks, but if you are concerned please visit a doctor to make sure everything is okay.

this could occur due to many reasons. If the wound is a very severe one, it can cause excessive hemolysis of RBCs and due to this reason that effected area might appear a bit bluish or purple in colour. If the colour stays there for a long time, the wound should be treated as it might be a sign of some bleeding disorders

If the symptoms persist for a long time, then it may be due to formation of hematoma because of blood trapped in tissues. This blood may need to be drained.
