If it's been a short while since you've cut and they're still dry-red. Then they'll most likely itch, and they'll sting in water. If they're tending to be brown-ish, then they'll most likely stop itching, soon.

Because they are healing. New skin is starting to form over them and this will cause that. And over time your scars will fade.

Every body takes a different amount of time to heal. The physical cuts may have healed, but scars are always healing. Healing can cause itchiness.

this itching may be due to the healing process. It may also be due in part to some dryness of the skin overlying the scar. it is partly to due to the fact that small nerve endings that were cut some how.

In my personal experience they do itch, I don't know why but I think it may be because they are healing
