for me most of the time it's relating about my family issues when i'm angry or sad i have the need to feel pain so i would scratch or choke myself while i harm myself i think of ways to kill myself and how no one would ever care if i were to die cause i'm so frustrated. that makes me feel good because i like self pity, it brings me joy and pain at the same time. this intense emotion of sadness hit me but i like it. when i feel like this i can't seem to shake the thought and urge of harming myself away

It is not easy to cope,for those who have been fighting a long time even themselves dont have any new ways to deal with it. So we get stressed and start to tremble and thats when we start destroying ourselves,to destroy the monster inside of us.

Self harm is a negative coping mechanism but their a lot of better ways, punch a pillow, go for a vigorous run or walk and practice deep breathing!!

I think it's because you want to hurt something but you can't so you choose to hurt your self instead. If you want to hurt your self why not just paint the parts you want to hurt
