What to do when you don't even want to recover?

Remind yourself that it's not you that doesn't want to recover - it's your illness(s) that make you not want to recover.
Think of all the things that you wish you could do.. start thinking small things first. Make small goals, like saying hi at least 5 times a day if that's something you struggle with (social anxiety).
Sometimes it's hard to recover as it feels like there's so much you need to do and like it's impossible - but sometimes breaking things down and taking it step by step can help.

The first step is deciding, in your mind, that even though it's the last thing you want to do, you will start getting better. Beneath hard pain, there lies a limbo of numbness, that once people have sunk into, there usually remains no desire to reach up and try to turn life around again, because that would mean leaving and entering a layer of pain again. But past this pain, past all of the work and struggle, is a life worth living for. And the only thing you have to do is pull yourself over that first step. I wish you the very best.

Wanting to recover is the first big step in the recovery process. Without motivation or a desire to change you are not going to put all of your effort and dedication into making changes.
When you don't want to recover it is important to think about why. What is holding you back? What is the benefit to staying unhealthy or in a negative state? Once you begin to work through these things the motivation to recover will likely follow in time.
As always, it is important to be monitored and talk with someone if you are at immediate risk or harm to yourself or someone else.

Why don't you want to recover? Whatever it is, I'm sure you'll overcome it and conquer. Don't give up to soon because I'm sure in time you'll heal (whether that's internally or externally) and see that your life isn't so bad. Even though it might not seem like it now, in time you'll see the brighter side of life and living. Just take care and be patient with yourself ok. Good luck and please take care. :)

Ask yourself why not? And think of all the things your missing out on: really falling in love with that new book, having the courage to talk to people, doing a lot better in school, the weight off you shoulders and dark from your eyes when it's finally over. Think of a life where you do recover and think of how much happier you'll be then where you are now.
