Is it considered self harming if I use a push pin to scratch the surface and no blood?

*trigger warning* That is a good question! Yes, any action that you do to yourself to cause harm can be considered self-harm, even if there is no blood or scars. Scratching yourself, punching walls, misusing drugs/alcohol, deliberately starving yourself, binge eating, and
excessively exercising can be other forms of self-harm that may not be widely discussed. Using a method of self-harm like the one you described doesn’t make the action any less serious nor does it your feelings any less valid. Support and help is available if you would like it, and you are definitely not alone. Hope this helps you!
