I haven't drank anything for nearly 48 hours. I have done this intentionally, but I am not sure why. I do have a past of self-harm. Could it be for relevant reasons?

It could be for relevant reasons but you should drink something, you may not know exactly why you feel upset or you may but it is not healthy, I'm sorry you're in the proposition you're in and I know sometimes when you are feeling that way it is hard to eat or drink.

Depriving yourself of your bodies needs in any form is considered to be self-harm, so yes, this can be considered as such. Is there any underlying stress, thoughts or emotions? if so, maybe talk them out/write them down. Journaling or talking/expressing why you have been so stressed may help you realize why you are depriving your body of its needs. Maybe sit down and do some relaxation exercises, or even do your favorite things to try and remind yourself of the happier sides of life. Things will get hard, and thats okay. Remind yourself that you must be kind towards your body even though it must be extremely difficult. I believe in you!
