How I can take better care of my injuries, is to be completly aware of how bad the injury is, regardless of the emotional state that I am in. As I know from past experience, leaving an injury never ends well, as it can get worse. But by taking immediate action, the injury will get better faster.

Learn basic first aid to treat your injuries and keep a supply of clean dressings etc if you can. When they have started to heal encourage that healing and forgive yourself by applying creams and massaging any scars, you deserve to heal just as you deserve to feel better.

Any injury should be cleaned with warm water with a clean cloth/ flannel. After, an antiseptic should be applied, followed by a plaster. The plasters should be changed every day, and changes should include washing and then putting on the antiseptic again. Bigger injuries may need medical attention.
