While thankfully not many people burn themselves with acid, I would still consider it self-harm, because you are deliberately causing bodily harm to yourself.

Self-harm is doing anything to intentionally hurt yourself. Examples include cutting, burning, or hitting any part of your body. So yes, using acid to burn yourself is considered self-harm, and can be very dangerous. Sometimes, people can accidentally hurt themselves far worse than they intended so any thoughts or desires of self-harm should be given good attention to.
