Most probably it is one of the underlying emotions, but more of analysis would take longer talk. It is just a try out to change something fromoutside, and yes you can with some healthy diet, nice clothes and stuff, but when those all things went away what is left? What do you think about your character? Do you like any parts of that on u?

It depends on what you mean by "obsessed". If you just pay lots of attention to how you look, that is quite common and harmless. (In fact it can help sometimes.) However, if it is the kind of obsession where you can't go out of the house if you don't look perfect, it is a problem, and could well be linked to a larger self-esteem issue. I can't offer advice because obviously I don't know everything about your situation but I hope I helped!

We all like to look good but some invest more in it than others. There is nothing wrong with it unless you cannot differentiate between how you look outside and inside.

Not necessarily. It all depends, are you obsessed with looking better? That is a sure sign of low self esteem, however it isnt the only reason you could be obsessed with your looks. Do you have a certain fashion aesthetic you have to fit in order to be confident and happy? Could this be a narcissism problem? Do you just always want to look and feel your best? Are you helplessly and constantly observant? While this could be a problem of low self esteem, there are millllions of reasons you could be physically obsessive over your body and self.
