Love is like one of those things everyone has a hard time explaining because it’s more of a personal, unique feeling rather than a collective, standard answer. There are many reasons why we fall in love. Countless reasons. One of the many reasons why we do so, is because we make a connection with someone and that paired with the chemicals in our brains, lead us to feeling something special towards them, in other words being drawn to them. For example, the person you have fallen for becomes an infatuation, during which the length of it determines whether you truly are in love with that person or if it’s just an infatuation/crush. Everything about that person invokes in you a strong desire, because of your curiosity, willingness, as well as the plethora of feel-good chemicals that are released in your brain when you are in the presence of the person you love. That’s as logical as it gets. But, honestly Love is one of the most beautiful feelings humans can experience. There are poems written about it, endless songs, films and dramas; it’s quite literally the ultimate passion one can feel towards another. Since we are such emotional beings with the need to bond, we are susceptible to it. Hence, the reason why we fall in love.

I think we fall in love for so many reasons! I fall in love because I feel a deep connection to the other person, we have a lot of things in common, we enjoy spending time together, we are very comfortable around each other, and there's also an attraction there. In addition, I think what's important is that the relationship is also healthy, that there's a balance between taking and giving, and reciprocity going on. So I feel cared for deeply by the other person, and I care for them deeply. Thus - the feeling of love is deeper than just lust or attraction - it's truly a deep-seated feeling.
