When two people get into a relationship they agree to care and love for each other too. So naturally after the break up, it's hard to pretend like you can't do any of those anymore even if you have a new romantic partner.

I had the same thing happen to me... I'd always run back to an ex and threw away a perfectly good relationship for him. It never ended well... Like, ever. Stay with your boyfriend and try staying away from your ex. Block him on everything, steer clear of him in person... I cannot emphasize this enough. He's bad news.

It sucks to feel that you're in bliss with your current boyfriend, but still have some heart to your ex. It would feel like you're cheating on your new beau with those thoughts and feelings. Let me just say this: It is not wrong to have those feelings. You and your ex had a great relationship and created fond memories together so, it would be hard to forget since he was a part of your life. To try to suppress them or to not think about it would be like not thinking about the white bear. Let's not forget, though: Your ex is an ex for a reason. You may not have control over your feelings, but you can control your actions. What can help you is to accept those feelings, remember the times, and let them pass you by. It would also help to remember why you and your ex could not work out. Remember the good, but also remember the bad as well. The past stays in the past. Focus more on your relationship with your current boyfriend. You love him dearly, and he makes you happy. My suggestion would be to jot down the happy moments and gratitude you have felt with your current boyfriend, and focus on those moments. Keep in mind of why you love him and are still with him, and not your ex. If your ex is still on your mind, take a moment for yourself to find out what your needs and wants are. Compare your boyfriend and ex to see who meets those wants and needs. You'll find out who is better for you.
