I have been dating my partner for 1 year and he is always asking what my plans are for the nights we don't see each other. I have a feeling he is checking up on me, I am not sure how to talk to him?

Hello there~ From what I read, it sounds like your boyfriend could be genuinely worried since he won't be seeing you that whole evening. Though, if he does it so very often, I can understand why you might possibly feel like he is overstepping your privacy. In this situation, it'll probably be good if you discuss it with him and set some new boundaries. Starting a conversation with him on this topic may not be easy, but it might help if you keep in mind on your goal, which I presume is to understand each other and get your needs across. Some things that might help the next time you guys have plans together alone is to first, take a deep breath, start with some small talks if you have to, and then take another breath and let him know how his actions on questionings your plans make you feel. Remember to listen and acknowledge your boyfriend's needs and feelings too! It's not easy, but once you two figure it out how to collaborate with each other, your relationship will only grow stronger. I wish you best of luck
