Acknowledge the feelings of hurt and come to terms with what they've done, but know when to think of yourself. Don't brush it off, talk about it.

Acknowledging a part that they hurt me. We as humans are quick to defend people who hurt us. It’s our natural defence mechanism towards ourself. If we don’t admit, it never happened, right? Sometimes we can’t even help ourselves and we are quick to jump towards their defence. So I think acceptance, acknowledgment of the pain, hurt and our scars helps us to move forward. That’s always a first step towards healing and personal growth and acceptance comes along with self-worth. Acceptance makes us realise our worth and then we can move towards and create boundaries with the culprit behind our hurt.
