We are always looking for other people. "someone will care about me" "someone will help me" "someone will love me" "someone will understand me". It's time to look in the mirror for once and realize that that someone could be yourself. Self care and self love doesn't come magically. It takes days, weeks, months. It can even sound stupid. if you keep looking for "someone else" chances are you will never find that person unless you know your worth. You may think you've found them, but then they may start acting different and not understand you. So the best thing to do first is become that someone you're looking for. Love yourself and know your worth. And then when you find that someone, they will add to it.

i don't think it's possible to find somebody who can 'handle' anybody else's lack of mental stability. i think it depends more on how well you both connect and understand each other. it's about being respectful and sensitive to the other person's needs so that you both can be there for each other but also giving space, when needed. it's not like there's a part of the human population that is capable of understanding lack of mental stability and another part isn't. it's mutual understanding and love. when you do find somebody who treats you well and respects your boundaries, you'll know it on your own. just trust your decisions and that'll make a lot of difference.
