15 is a difficult age when teenagers want to exercise their independence. Treating her like an adult with the respect and keeping the lines of communication open is your best bet.

Give yourself a break. What works for me when I am completely worked up about handling/ controlling my children is the knowledge that they are tiny human beings and just because we brought them into this world does not mean we will always do right by them. We are allowed mistakes and so are they. We can only guide them, help them differentiate between right and wrong , I.e. as we see it not as they see it, and let them take a call about their lives. They will blame us later, sure. But some lessons are best learned through experience. Most importantly forgiveness, for them and us. So that’s my mantra.
