What do you mean why you? It's your body, it's not some scary monster attacking you. Panic and anxiety has everything to do with how unsafe you feel inside. If you want to stop having these attacks, working on your foundation of feeling unsafe is a start. Cursing the symptoms and acting like you are plagued isn't going to tell you. Realizing that they are telling you something about your own self is the only way to move forward.

First you must realize you are not alone, and that most people experience some kind of overwhelming long-term anxiety in physical form at some period in their lives. Anxiety and panic attacks can be due to an almost unlimited number of outside factors in your life, and it's not your fault. It's just your nervous system's way of reacting to these stresses. Maybe they're stresses you've dealt with all your life, or maybe they are new problems. But either way, a panic attack can't actually hurt you - the anxiety itself stems from fear, and can be made worse by the irrational fear of death caused by a panic attack. Stay strong and positive and know that with time you will feel in control and the anxiety will be gone.

''Why me?' is one of the most common questions asked and coincidentally one of the hardest to answer. I think everyone must experience a why me point in their life, so really the question is invalid. Because it is not just you, but everyone. Even if we experience a different "why me?" moment it's all the same moment, all the same thought.

I use to think about it this way and constantly had that thought wedged in my brain, but then I met people who also had problems and I realized that normal is boring. Everything in life shapes us to be who we are 😝

This question is formed on the basis of comparing yourself to other people. More often than not, mental illness is connected to a stigma, a belief that you are a lower person compared to others. The truth is there is no comparison between yourself and others. Bad things can happen to people regardless of merit, lifestyle, genetics or statistics, and mental issues are part of this. Who you are as an individual is reflected by others, but ultimately you can assume control over it by deciding that your problems, issues, life experiences, are all part of yourself, and while they may be seen as flaws by some, you can decide to ignore that vision and embrace your own.
