Give yourself a break! Make a time for yourself to do something you enjoy and set a bedtime for yourself. If you haven't finished studying at that time stop anyway! Powering through and being exhausted isn't going to help you later on your exams. Let yourself sleep and come back to it in the morning. Don't beat yourself up for not getting through it as fast as you hoped you would. Another great technique I've heard of is to put several gummy bears (or similar small candies) across the page you're reading. When you reach the gummy bear stop for a second and eat it. It's a great tiny reward that makes sure your eyes are still trained on the page and gives you a few seconds to process what you've just read.

Taking a break is very important when you are overwhelmed with final exams. You must take time for yourself and do something you enjoy to break up the endless studying. This can really help to de-stress and refocus you.

Exam prepare is not always about studying. In the weeks and even months leading up to a test it is important to take time to enjoy your life and distract yourself from the pressure. Studying regularly with adequate breaks is more successful than a lot of studying without adequate breaks and free time. It's all about balance so you can be refreshed in your mind and body, yet prepared.
