Oh definitely, but going to a doctor who you trust and having multiple talks about your panic attacks/any other issues that could trigger your panic attacks is the best place to start if you're considering medication to help! I take medication every day to help with diagnosed depression/anxiety and have another medication that I can take if I feel I am having a severe panic attack. The reason I ended up on medication was due to an incredibly unexpected, never before experienced panic attack on my way home from work! So short answer, yes there is but you should definitely talk to a doctor!

There are medications you can take, but first try the exercises specifically designated for panic attacks. Medication should always be a last resort.

Yes, personally I have some herbal tablets that are meant to help you sleep, feel calm and ease general anxiety. I'd recommend you do some research on what would suit you.

In the past, I myself have suffered from panic attacks. You must be going through a challenging time and I am so sorry to hear that you struggle with extreme anxiety and its symptoms. You can take medication for panic attacks and anxiety, and it has the potential to help. In the past, I took a serious prescription that required a supervisor to distribute a necessary dose. Now, I take a less serious medication that calms my nervous system without numbing my emotions. When the physical symptoms of my anxiety are suppressed, I can easily rationalize my thoughts and move forward. However, I am not a medical professional and I would highly recommend speaking to your family doctor, therapist, or psychiatrist to inquire about what anti-anxiety medication can do for you. There are other methods to reduce the effects of a panic attack, such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, switching to a healthier lifestyle, yoga and mediation, and so much more. You are doing a fantastic favor to yourself by reaching out and asking for help. Remember that everyone has their own unique experience with panic attacks, along with various reactions to medications. A professional can help tailor a recovery plan just for you (:

The best form of medication is self-medication. Reliving stress, talking, having an escape if you have one, or a buddy that knows you have them and can help you.
