It is if you feel as if you're having a panic attack. Lots of people feel unable to breathe during this time because your body goes into 'fight or flight' mode. Your brain will feel as if it is in danger for some reason and being almost unable to breathe is a part of this response. You may also feel an elevated heart rate, shaking, and sweating.

It most definitely is not. It couldn't be a number of things from asthma to anxiety and panic. Try to find out if there are any triggers before this happens and talk to a doctor. No one should have to cope with feeling unable to breathe.

Not normal in a healthy person, no. Not being able to breathe can be for a lot of things, but diffidently anxiety. Anxiety can really shut us down. I have a hard time breathing sometimes too. It's awful.

It's normal in panic attacks, yes. There are many reasons for feeling a tightened chest, but the two most incredibly common reasons are panic attacks and asthma.

I used to feel like an elephant's foot was pressing down on my chest when I was in large crowds. My breathing became uneven and I would feel very uneasy. I would escape to the bathroom or anywhere where I can be alone. I would concentrate on my breathing until it returns to normal. This might take a couple minutes

Feeling like you're unable to breath is usual caused by anxiety or panic or stress. I would seek ways to learn to calm yourself when it happens and also talk to people.
