Accept this is happening to you, keep breathing (that's important) and let your emotions come as they are but let your thought process move on after that. Accept, let go. Breathe, repeat.

It can be very helpful to be mindful of your emotions and naming them. “Am I feeling angry? No I actually feel fearful.” Once you named the emotion, you can accept it. Don’t differentiate between “good” and “bad” emotions but view them neutrally. Feelings are valid and deserve to be accepted regardless of their nature. These two steps usually are already helpful in avoiding a panic attack. Other helpful skills like breathing exercises, mindfulness exercises or whatever you have found to be helpful in your own experience can help you feel better and more leveled. There is an anxiety guide on seven cups and you can connect with other users to exchange more tips. I wish you all the best!

Sometimes just taking those moments where we feel the panic rising to activate our awareness of thoughts and the reality of there process. This means, consciously catching each thought as it approaches and thinking “is this a real problem or am I automatically jumping to it out of fear, uncertainty etc.”. We all have automatic thoughts, usually negative, and these are based on passed experiences or traumas that have lead us to believe certain things will happen if we do or don’t do certain things. Being aware of what we really think and feel, how the situation is presently and what we can do in that moment to achieve the best outcome. Stick with the facts of NOW, not the past and not the future… only what is in your control in that particular thought, emotion or reaction

Observe your emotions, acknowledge and welcome them. Think about your thoughts, why you're having them. Think about your surroundings, where you are when you're having your thoughts. Think about why you're having them, how they make you feel. Examine each thought like a pretty rock you found on the beach then set it down and keep walking. You can even do that physically, go walking where you can find rocks. For each thought, pick up a rock. Examine your thought, attach it to the rock. When you're ready, set the rock aside and keep going. Panic attacks are your brain's way of telling you something is wrong. It's trying to help you. After you set down your thoughts you can say ' no thankbyou brain, that one isn't helpful'
