For as long as I can rememeber, I have torn up and rolled tissue paper, fabric into balls and rolled it between my finger nails. It gives me a relief like satisfaction. What is wrong with me?

First of all, thank you for reaching out about something you feel to be wrong. I admire that. Secondly, what I and many others will have to say about this is, there is nothing wrong with you. The first thing that struck me about this habit is that you’re not causing harm to yourself or anyone else, which as far as habits go is pretty impressive. I recall doing something similar to this once or twice in my life. I can’t remember exactly what material I used though, but that’s beside the point. There are just some things that feel good. Sometimes it’s in our dna. Having someone brush and play with our hair feels good because long ago we groomed each other. This is a pretty common example that I feel most people can agree on, but I felt this is a relevant point to bring up. I can’t tell you why this particular action feels good to you, but I can tell you that you’re not alone.
Take care
