It could be a number of things. It could be a disorder that is causing it, it could be your medication, your amount of sleep or food level, how much you interact with people socially, or could just be normal moodswings from a hormone imbalance. A moodswing from a hormonal imbalance is normal. Almost everyone suffers with it if not everyone. Also, it could be that you are just having one of 'those' days. Or your mind could be subconsiously thinking of something that is sad. You can not identify what your mind is thinking though. I would suggest going and talking to your doctor and see what the side effects or your medications are and maybe talk to them for some professional advice.

There can be many influences for a sad feeling. From scientific studies showing brain chemicals, to common answers such as hormones, there can be many different causes. I personally feel a sudden amount of sadness almost daily, and I believe it is just life's daily things just adding up. The stressors in today’s world are much more chronic and less controllable by taking action, and we often don’t get the break afterwards to recover and regroup. This can lead to your body just going "bleh" at times, and making you feel bad. In the end, just have faith in yourself, and to always look to the future. If the sadness continues, and begins to affect your daily life, I believe you should consult an adult, or a specialist.

There is always a reason for sadness but its you who can't find the reason for it , so focus on things that you may think are the reason for your sadness and when you find the right reason you will know it eventually.

Maybe because sometimes you don't like being yourself. Times when you wanna be other than what you are. Think about it, We only like ourselves when we are desirable in the context of societal perspective. So when we are left alone, and there is nobody around to validate us and give us love, we find it hard to love ourselves and feel empty as a consequence.
