Absolutely. Emotions are complicated and they certainly don't make sense all of the time. However, that doesn't mean that any feeling is "wrong" or that we should judge ourselves for feeling them. Being sad is okay sometimes, and trying to push our feelings away simply because we don't understand them often makes us suffer more in the long run.

Maybe you are feeling some kind of stress or anxiety. Sometimes there is nothing obvious around to make us feel sad, but if you think about it, it can be something more general: our career, family, friends, life expectations... Don't feel bad about your emotions, talk to someone about them if you feel that it can help.

No, it is not normal to feel sad for no reason at all. Never let yourself be sad for no reason. We are sometimes sad for a reason or even more than a reason, but you will figure out the reason(s) and deal with it.

Of course it is, I, sometimes feel very depressed for no reason at all. I even listen to really sad songs but then have to remind myself that I'm safe and am currently surrounded by people who love me and I then start to name everything I'm thankful for.

You may feel sad because your subconsious mind knows that something is bothering you, even though you don't know why you are sad there might be an underlying reason which has something to do with an earlier trouble which you feel nervous about. Try going over your past experiences and consider whether you are happy about the outcome.
