It is okay to be emotional. You are sensible and that is just great :) However, if you feel like your emotions are interfering in your daily routines, do look forward to diverting your mind to something else which will make you forget about the particular incident that is triggering your emotion.

You might be going through hard times, having a lot of stress or having burnout or compassion fatigue. It can come also when many things were going on lately, especially if they were stressfull. You needn't to see symptoms of stress before you start feeling so emotional - stress can buil up in us silently over time and then, when body can't cope anymore, comes out and cause problems. You need some rest and relaxation. You can consider taking some relaxation exercises or having some fun which Will relax yourself and you Will forget on your problems for a while.

I have personally felt that emotions are similar to allergies, in that certain times of year can activate very strong emotions associated with that time. Emotions are like the weather- you're not sure when or why exactly they come up, but when they do, you have to deal with them. Only you can answer why you're feeling so emotional right now, but I can testify that everyone has experiences similar to this, whether they admit it or not. Emotions are very valid and it's important that you acknowledge them, but you don't have to let them derail your progress! Treat yourself nicely- acknowledge the way that you feel, and try to keep your goals in mind if you can. :)
