Your mind wants ur attention, simple. It has got some issue while running, so as machines make noise our mind gets overwhelmed or emotional. Because we are not accepting what is in front of us and constantly want to change it with the expected image of situations in our mind. You may be thinking too much on an issue happened with you or someone else. Its not something to be felt ashamed of. Emotions are a part of human life. But if it's hurting you and you are not able to do what you should do, you should work on that. Take someone's help. A therapist can be more helpful.

It's tough to give a specific answer, but without knowing any background information or exploring your emotions deeper, I would simply say because it's totally normal and you are a human being! We all experience emotions due to hormones, stress, things and people we love and care about, changes in our lives, and for all sorts of reasons! There are ways to explore what's causing such a surge in emotions right this second, but for a simple answer, because you're a human being with emotions, the way you were meant to be. :)
