Because you have strong feelings about the "right" way to be and do things. Often times, easily offended people are victims of black and white thinking, and prefer people to follow one set of rules. But the diversity of perspectives, beliefs and experiences that exist guarantee that the vast majority of people out here will not agree with you on the correct or appropriate way to do things. Be aware of this. Learn to appreciate other points of views. If you let go of the need to rigidly adhere to a single set of rules, and you will be much happier and more at peace. And remember, it's okay to be sensitive to things, but a mature person takes responsibility for their emotions rather than blaming others for perceived slights and differences of opinion.

Maybe because you understand why things are offensive more than other people. And then people tell you are easily offended because they don't want to correct their behavior. I've been told I'm easily offended, but I know now it's because I recognize why some things are actually hurtful.

People get offended for many reasons; it could be that what your experiencing is objectively offensive. Or if you find yourself getting offended more than you feel you should be, it could be an issue with your self-esteem being low; people who genuinely feel positively about themselves generally don't get bothered by petty things other people say.

When I feel insecure about personal things then i'm subjective in interpreting messages. I will find prove for my insecure feelings, even when the sender of the message has positive things to say of me. I will think he just says that to be liked, but not because he really thinks that of me. Everything will be interpret so my insecure feelings become the truth. Because it's scary of they aren't the truth. Than that means that we can be loved, even with those imperfections. And the feeling of being loved becomes to close, it makes me afraid of being hurt again. So i keep thinking my insecurity is the only truth that exist and that is why i get so easily offended. Because even when i make my own truth, it is painful so see prove of it everywhere.

You may be triggered or experience extra sensitivity for certain areas/topics. It's normal to feel offended but you need to be able to joke around too and not take everything to heart. Balance is key

You probably care about the opinion others have of you. Perhaps you are insecure about how you feel about yourself, or you just hold the opinions of others in very high regard.

Maybe sometimes I find it a bit too hard to manage my own anger. I myself am a human being after all. But I'm confident enough in my ability that I will be able to control myself eventually.
