Emotions are beyond any criteria or way to be expressed in, its better to express them in a way you feel better or you can do it easily, don't try to give artificial makeover. The only thing you need to keep in your mind is that your way of expressing feeling should not hurt someone. otherwise its just fine

It depends on the person. Some would rather not mince words, and are very blunt and frank is expressimg themselves. Then, there are some people who prefer the language of poetry to beautifully put their emotions into words. Then again, sometimes a piece of prose is much more heartfelt an expression, and we all know that a picture can speak a thousand words. As I said above, it varies from person to person. It depends on what YOU are comfortable with, and also, if you're expressing your emotions to someone else, what the person you're expressing yourself to is comfortable with.

Writing them down can definitely help. It helps you let out some of those negative emotions. Then, after you're done writing, you can rip it up or scribble all over it, which helps release.

I find that the best way to express your emotions is through what you're passionate about. Understand that not everyone has a passion like in Disney channel shows (where everyone has a 'thing' they're just good at) it doesn't have to be something you're fantastic at, just something that makes you happy. If you're sad, express it through what you're passionate about. If you're angry, do the same. There's a community out there who's ready to support you in whatever your feelings are.

However you want. Paint stuff, write a diary, cook or bake, it comes down to you individually. Is there a particular activity that takes your mind off everything, an activity that can help you unravel your emotions. If you don't know yet, wait and experiment with different activities. It could be walking, or even just talking, or keeping a pet.
